Backpacks for Children in Dulab, Iraq - Project Leader: Don Arnett, Jim & Sherree Fischer
When one of our members returned from spending 4 months in Iraq training the Iraqi police, he came home with a heavy heart for the children in the Dulab area. Those children didn’t beg for candy- instead, they begged for pencils or paper. School supplies are basically nil in this very poor area. A generous donor has given 1,452 small backpacks and duffle bags and the people of Parkway will be filling them with supplies. We simply want to send them the essentials so they can experience the giving nature that defines the American spirit, and feel the integrity of being a person that matters.
