    Home Services
  • Business Affairs
    Teach people who may be widows/widowers how to handle basic business affairs, such as balancing checkbooks and completing insurance forms. Answer other questions regarding business affairs.
  • Errands
    Provide assistance on an on-call basis to homebound individuals by picking up prescriptions, groceries or running other miscellaneous errands.
  • Friendly Visitor
    Help to combat loneliness by spending some time each week with an elderly person. Friendly visitors can read and write mail, play games, share a meal, take people shopping or just visit in the person’s home. Friendly Visitors also serve a dual purpose by providing some relief time for the caregiver.
  • Grocery Shopping/Delivery
    Help a homebound or physically impaired individual maintain their independence by shopping and delivering groceries on an ongoing basis.
  • Handyman/Home Repair
    Provide minor home repair and maintenance work for someone who can’t do it themselves. Tasks may include changing furnace filters and light bulbs, installing handrails in bathrooms or other minor jobs as requested.
  • Office Assistant
    Assist Home Services Coordinators (staff) or designee with processing and coordinating grocery shopping services. Tasks may include picking up and organizing shopping lists, phone calls and other general office tasks.
  • Phone Pals
    Provide periodic (daily or weekly) telephone calls to homebound and socially isolated individuals. Build a relationship and get to know a person over the phone.
  • Respite
    Provide an occasional sitting service to impaired adults so that the caregiver can take a break, run errands or attend to other personal/family matters.
  • Transportation
    Help a senior maintain their independence and dignity by taking them to and from medical, dental and other appointments on an on-call basis. Transport in your vehicle. On occasion, people need to go outside the Northwest Valley area.
  • Computer Technician
    Help seniors with computer questions, along with other technical small electronics enhancements, assisting with the installation i.e. CD, DVD, computer, printer, etc.
