Habitat West Valley has multiple volunteer opportunities for your groups to get involved:
    Construction
    Construction skills are not necessary to work on Habitat homes; No matter the skill level, volunteers make a difference by doing the majority of the construction on the homes.
  • Times and Days:
    Fall/Winter schedule: Tuesday – Friday 7:30am – 11:30am; Saturday 7:30am – 1:30pm
    Spring/Summer schedule: Tuesday – Friday 6:30am – 10:30am; Saturday 6:30am – 12:30am
  • Location:
    16194 N. Desert Sage Street, Surprise, AZ 85374 - Map and Directions
  • Age Restriction:
    Must be 16 years old to build Habitat homes
  • Maximum Group Size:
    up to 25 people (depending on the tasks)
  • Groups:
    We ask that a group representative attend an orientation. Click here for orientation dates and times; please contact Adriane at 623.583.2417 ext. 106 if you cannot attend a scheduled orientation.
    HFHWV Home Improvement Store – Volunteers NEEDED!
    Habitat for Humanity of the West Valley has a Home Improvement Store that is open to the public and sells new and used home improvement items such as furniture, appliances, building materials, wiring, lighting, doors, and more. Money raised at the store helps us build more homes and reach more families. We can’t raise the amounts we do without the help of volunteers!
  • Times and Days:
    Monday – Saturday 8:00am – 5:00pm; flex time and schedule for volunteers
  • Location:
    9133 W. Grand Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345 - Map
  • Age Restriction:
    Must be 14 years old to volunteer in the store
  • Maximum Group Size:
    12 people at one given time – can do multiple shifts within a day
  • Tasks:
    • Prepare donations for sales floor
    • Clean
    • Put prices on items
    • Organize merchandise
    • Provide customer service
    • Main goal: Keep the store looking like a store, making it easy for customers to find and buy items!
  • Orientation:
    Groups do not need to attend an orientation to volunteer only in the store, but still recommended.
